"These swimsuits are all styles Xiaoshu and I like — if we didn't like them, we wouldn't have bought them. So pick whichever ones you fancy; whatever's left, Xiaoshu and I will like just as much." Gu Mengyao explained with a smile.

"Then I'll do as you say and skip the ceremony!" Tang Yun did not decline again, and she and Feng Xiaoxiao each took a set they rather liked.

Only, changing into the swimsuits was a little awkward. True, when they had changed into pajamas the night before, they had already seen one another stark naked — but it had been dark then, and nothing could be made out, only a vague expanse of white, which was not so embarrassing after all.

But now, even with the lights off, the blazing sun still pierced through the tent and filled it with light — dim, but light nonetheless.

The young miss was a little bashful, and Tang Yun was a little bashful too.

Shen Yushu, however, did not care in the least; she stripped off every stitch in a few brisk movements and made to put on her swimsuit.

"Xiaoshu, you've gone too far!" Gu Mengyao, flushed scarlet by Shen Yushu's teasing, went to pinch her mouth.

"I'm off — going swimming!" Shen Yushu ran out of the tent at a trot, leaving Gu Mengyao with no temper left to lose, able only to laugh and cry at once.

Wei Zhao had also gone back to change into his swimming trunks. He stepped out of the tent and happened to see Xiaoshu come running out.

With nothing to bind her chest, and running as she was, the rise and fall of it made Wei Zhao's breathing suddenly quicken! The scene was remarkably like one of those chat-image memes that had been making the rounds online.

"Wow, Arrow-Brand Bro, you're so strong!" Shen Yushu, unaware of her own impropriety, instead caught sight of Wei Zhao's sturdy pectorals and abs, and her eyes lit up.

"Uh, you're quite magnificent yourself..." Wei Zhao said without thinking — and immediately felt something was off!

In front of Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu, Wei Zhao had always been proper, never speaking a word out of line; but this time Xiaoshu had led him astray into saying something he should never have said!

"Oh?" Shen Yushu was stunned by his words too, but then she grew rather happy! Wei Zhao had always doted on her, but he had never said anything so appreciative! So Shen Yushu was delighted: "Arrow-Brand Bro, you've finally noticed Xiaoshu's good points?"

Wei Zhao was speechless for a moment. It seemed that no one is a sage; having spent so long with Yaoyao and Xiaoshu, he could hardly avoid certain thoughts — it was only natural that he should have feelings for them!

"You and Yaoyao are both outstanding!" Wei Zhao's expression returned to normal, and he spoke mildly.

An Jianwen and Su Taizao were at that moment swimming in the sea. Seeing Gu Mengyao and the others come out, they at once waved both hands: "Yaoyao, come on in, quick! The water's lovely and cool!"

By now the sun was fully out; standing on the beach you would feel the fierce heat, but the seawater had not yet fully absorbed the sun's warmth and was still a little chilly. This was the most comfortable time to go in, with a pleasant coolness to it.

"Jianwen-ge, why aren't you off catching sharks?" Shen Yushu asked straightaway once she was in the water.

"Ha, I was thinking we'd all play a while first, no? Otherwise, with blood in the water, how would we play at all?" An Jianwen gave a ha-ha. "Once we've had our fun, we'll catch the shark!"

"Is that so? Well, that's fine too!" Shen Yushu thought it over — they hadn't had their fill of fun yet, and luring a shark over would indeed be a bit of a downer. Anyway, with her there to prod and needle him, she wasn't worried An Jianwen would get out of catching one.

Though the odds of a shark or other dangerous sea creature appearing in the shallows were very small, Wei Zhao still kept a wary eye on the surface of the sea, ready to act at any moment.

"Wow, there's abalone on this reef!" Feng Xiaoxiao pointed excitedly at a rock on the sea floor and cried out.

"Really? There's abalone here?" Shen Yushu's eyes darted about, and she called to An Jianwen: "Jianwen-ge, there's abalone here! Come catch some quick, and add to our lunch!"

"No problem!" The moment he heard it was abalone, An Jianwen agreed without a second thought! So long as it wasn't shark-catching, anything was fine. Abalone — he had eaten it before; it was just a shellfish, completely harmless! So he took Su Taizao and came running over, eager for the sport.
