"I can make fried chicken and hamburgers too..." Yu Yuanyuan added with a smile. "Big brother, when you come to my home, I'll cook them for you!"

Yu Yuanyuan thought "big brother" had a pleasant ring to it, and it rolled easily off the tongue.

"Sure. Those two little girls at my place might like that sort of thing. One day I'll bring them along to try it." Wei Zhao laughed.

"Little girls?" Yu Yuanyuan was taken aback.

"Friends of the boss. One of them's the boss's little wife!" Ergoudan explained. He had seen Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu, and they were as beautiful as fairies.

"Little wife?" Yu Yuanyuan was even more taken aback.

"Ergoudan's got it wrong. She's a girl who likes to fool about, and I was teasing him; he believed it." Wei Zhao smiled wryly.

"I see..." Yu Yuanyuan nodded and asked no more.

Whether Wei Zhao had a little wife or not had little to do with her; so long as she and Ergoudan were on good terms, that was enough.

Amid a thousand thanks from Yu Ren and Yu's mother, Wei Zhao left the sickroom.

The doctor who had come in on his rounds earlier had finished his circuit and was about to head back to the duty room, when he looked up and saw Yu's mother walking out of the sickroom, thanking Wei Zhao and seeing him off. The doctor was struck as though by lightning!

That can't be. What on earth is going on? How is Yu's mother's leg better? This is beyond belief! Her bone was bitten clean through by a lion, and now she can walk? What manner of medical skill is this?

Wei Zhao left the ward and turned toward the ward where Tang Jucheng was staying, but when he got there, he found no one inside save a nurse who was cleaning up. The room was utterly empty, and Tang Yun's luggage was gone as well.

"Excuse me, where have the people here gone?" Wei Zhao knocked on the door and asked.

"They've already checked out. Is there something you need?" the nurse asked, looking up.

"Checked out?" Wei Zhao was stunned for a moment, then waved his hand. "Never mind..."

"Yunyun, where are you?" Wei Zhao called Tang Yun's number directly and asked.

"I'm on the way to the new home. The new place is fit to live in now, so we checked out of the hospital room and are moving in!" Tang Yun said.

"Moving? Why didn't you tell me beforehand?" Wei Zhao asked, a little reproachfully. "If you'd told me earlier, I could have helped."

"It's fine, heh heh." Tang Yun laughed. "As it happens, Xiaofen's family is moving today too. Kang Xiaobo borrowed a car from Fatty Lai, so our two families are heading over together..."

"Is that so!" Wei Zhao nodded. Since there was a car, that was all to the good. So he said, "Yunyun, Uncle Tang's leg can be treated. I have the medicinal liquid in hand. How about I come to your new home now?"

"It can be treated? Truly?" Tang Yun was delighted at once. "All right then, come straight to the new house. We'll be there in a moment!"

"All right." Wei Zhao hung up with a smile.

After hanging up on Tang Yun, Wei Zhao dialed Kang Xiaobo's number.

"Boss, where are you? Why haven't you come?" Kang Xiaobo picked up and asked, somewhat puzzled.

"You say I haven't come? Yunyun's family is moving today. Why didn't you tell me?" Wei Zhao asked.

"What? You didn't know?" Kang Xiaobo was taken aback at once by Wei Zhao's words.

"If you don't tell me, how would I know?" Wei Zhao was caught between laughter and tears.

"I... I thought Tang Yun would tell you! How was I to know she hadn't?" Kang Xiaobo gave a wry smile. "Boss, you can't blame me for this..."

"All right, I'm only telling you this: in a little while, bring Xiaofen over to Yunyun's home. I've got the medicinal liquid to treat her leg injury. I'll be treating Uncle Tang anyway, so I may as well treat them both together." Wei Zhao said.

"Really? Truly? Boss, thank you so much!" Hearing this, warmth surged again and again through Kang Xiaobo's heart. Wei Zhao had kept Xiaofen's matter in his thoughts all along, and it moved Kang Xiaobo deeply!

Though Kang Xiaobo did not care whether Xiaofen's leg was truly lame, and would love her even if she stayed that way all her life, if she could be like a normal person, then by whatever means he would find a way to restore her.
