Chapter 2320 — Back to the Hotel
"Just call me Hawk." Wei Zhao used his old code name—the one he had gone by when running missions with Pangolin and the others. Since this was about avenging Pangolin, it was only natural that Wei Zhao had taken up that name again.
"Then I'll call you Brother Hawk from now on," Big Feng said. "And you can just call me Big Feng."
"Mm." Wei Zhao gave a faint response, wondering to himself whether the Third Boss actually knew where the poison-refining base was located.
The car soon reached the vicinity of the Fire Wolf Hotel. Wei Zhao did not have Big Feng drive up to the entrance; instead, he had him park in a secluded alley nearby, lest anyone from the Fire Wolf Hotel recognize his car.
Before getting out, Wei Zhao casually tapped a few points on Big Feng's body and said, "I won't release these acupoints for you. For the next ten hours you won't be able to use your hands or legs. Of course, you're welcome to try forcing them open with your true qi—but the consequences are your own."
"Don't worry, Brother Hawk. Even if you hadn't sealed my acupoints, I wouldn't run. I'm with you from now on!" Big Feng had seen that Wei Zhao was determined to wipe out the Red Conch, so until Wei Zhao failed, he would not pull any tricks behind his back.
Of course, this was also out of sheer necessity. It was impossible to say that he had sincerely submitted to Wei Zhao at this point.
Wei Zhao nodded without a word and strode toward the Fire Wolf Hotel.
"BOOM! CRASH!"
Wei Zhao did not push the door open—he kicked it in. Outside the hotel, an entire luxurious crystal revolving door was sent flying by his kick, slamming straight into a security guard sitting behind the front desk and crushing him into a bloody pulp!
The guard did not even manage a grunt before he was dead on the spot!
The guard was only a small fry, but the security here were one hundred percent members of the Red Conch or the Fire Wolf Gang—otherwise it would have been impossible for them to watch petty thugs abduct a lone female guest and do nothing. So Wei Zhao felt not the slightest pity for him.
"Ah—"
This sudden turn of events sent the hotel's waiters and attendants screaming in terror! Someone actually dared to come and wreck the Fire Wolf Hotel? Everyone in the local small gangs knew perfectly well what stood behind the Fire Wolf Hotel.
Still, there were bolder attendants who managed to press the emergency call buttons. In an instant, the hotel lobby was filled with the wailing of alarms.
Of course, this was because Wei Zhao had made no effort to stop them. Had he wanted to, the attendants would have been on the floor long before they ever had a chance to press anything.
A pack of security guards came charging down from the security room as though facing a mortal enemy, surrounding Wei Zhao, who stood in the lobby at his leisure, completely at ease.
"Hey, kid, who the hell are you? You dare come wreck our Fire Wolf Hotel?" One of them, whose uniform was slightly different from the rest—clearly the captain of the guards—raised his baton and pointed it at Wei Zhao.
"So you're the security of this hotel?" Wei Zhao gave the captain a faint glance. Not simple at all—a mere guard captain actually possessed the strength of the peak mid-stage Yellow rank. This Fire Wolf Hotel really was a den of thieves.
"Security? You can call us that if you like, but to you, we're enforcers!" The captain sneered at Wei Zhao. "We only protect the hotel's guests. As for troublemakers like you—generally they come in standing and leave lying down."
"Protect the guests?" Wei Zhao looked at the captain with mockery. If he had not said that, Wei Zhao might not have wanted to slaughter them all—but this captain actually claimed to protect the guests? Knowing that Sun Jingyan was for the moment out of danger, Wei Zhao's anger turned to a smile. "Is that so? My girlfriend called me from inside this hotel, saying some petty thugs drugged her drink. She hid in the restroom, and they charged in and dragged her away. Don't tell me you know nothing about it—or was it your people who did it?"
A flicker of panic crossed the captain's eyes. Of course he knew about it—he simply had not expected that Sun Jingyan had a companion here, and one who had arrived so quickly. And from the looks of it, a cultivator?
Otherwise it would have been impossible for Wei Zhao to kick the revolving door clean off its hinges. Even if he was not early Yellow rank, he was at least half a step into it—which counted as having entered the ranks of cultivators.
"Aren't you mistaken? Your girlfriend, abducted here? How could that be? This is a legitimate hotel. Petty thugs? They can't even get through the door. Take you, for instance—we spotted you the moment you stepped in!" The captain was naturally not about to admit that they had taken Sun Jingyan.
"Since you won't admit it, then you can all go to hell." Wei Zhao was already furious with the Fire Wolf Hotel. With a cold snort, he moved—and the pack of guards surrounding him, along with the captain who had been so arrogant a moment ago, all collapsed to the ground, their fate unknown.
The attendants had thought that once security arrived, the matter would be settled—after all, whenever troublemakers came around, the guards would invariably have them carried out on stretchers. But now it seemed the situation had been turned on its head?
The attendants burst into shrieks and scattered in all directions, fleeing up the hotel stairs and vanishing without a trace.
"Quick to run, aren't you!" Wei Zhao sneered, then unleashed the fifth stance of the Mulinsen Bagua Palm. His two palms became ten, striking the bar counter, the murals, the sofas, the chandeliers, the potted plants—everything in the hotel lobby—and reduced the entire lobby to splinters!
"Is there anyone here who can talk? The owner of this place—get out here and face me!" Only after smashing to his heart's content did Wei Zhao shout. His voice did not seem loud, yet it carried vast true qi condensed into sound, and the entire hotel building shook with a rumbling echo!
Had Wei Zhao not feared harming Sun Jingyan, he would long ago have done as he had with Zhao Qibing and simply torn the hotel down.
In the Fire Wolf Hotel's surveillance room, the Third Boss stared at the monitor feed of the lobby, his face a mask of disbelief. "What kind of move is that? A martial technique? How can he unleash ten palms at once?"
In the surveillance room, there was no way to sense the power of Wei Zhao's technique, so the Third Boss could not tell what level his strength was.
"I'm not sure, but it probably isn't a martial technique. I've never heard of such a technique. It's more likely just very fast footwork—a kind of external hard-style skill," said the early Earth rank expert beside the Third Boss after some thought.
"Mm..." The Third Boss nodded upon hearing the early Earth rank expert's words. As long as it was not a martial technique, that was fine. If this man could not unleash martial techniques, then he was probably not much of an expert. "Zhang Yilong, Zhao Erhu, go down and bring this man up to me!"
The Third Boss pondered for a moment, then gave the order. (To be continued.)
